Conference Location

Where is the conference being held?

The conference is being held February 11-13, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Orange County in Garden Grove, California. The address is 11999 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92840.

Registration

When will registration open?

Registration will be opening soon at www.nacmconference.org. You can register online or you can download a registration form and send by mail with a check.

What does my registration include?

Registration includes the Sunday Welcome Reception, Monday Exhibit Lunch, Tuesday Lunch and entry into all education sessions.

When will I receive confirmation of my registration?

When registering online, you will receive a confirmation email at the conclusion of the online process.
When registering by mail, you will receive a confirmation email as soon as payment for your registration is processed.

If I am unable to attend, can I transfer my registration to someone else in my organization?

Yes. You will need to contact as soon as you know you are unable to attend and give us the name of the person to whom your registration is being transferred no later than Friday, January 19, 2018. You can also transfer your registration to a future NACM conference within a year.

 Will I receive a refund if I have to cancel my registration?

Refund requests must be made in writing by Friday, January 19, 2018. No refunds or meeting credits will be given after January 19, 2018. A processing fee of $100 will be deducted from each cancelled registration. Please review the NACM cancellation policy for further details.

Can I bring a guest to conference events?

Yes. You may register a guest for the Welcome Reception, the Monday Exhibit Show Lunch, and/or Tuesday Lunch. You must provide the name of your guest during registration. The guest registration fees must be paid in full before the start of the conference. Guests must wear their name badges at all times when attending an event.

Hotel & Transportation

Can I make my hotel reservation now?

You will be required to REGISTER FIRST and then you will be able to reserve your sleeping room! When you register, the confirmation letter will contain information on how to book your hotel stay. The NACM room rate is $175 per night, single/double occupancy. This rate is available only through January 19, 2018, or until the NACM room block is full. It is recommended that you register and make your reservation no later than January 19, 2018 to ensure you get the NACM special rate.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

John Wayne/Orange County Airport (SNA)

  • Distance: 13 miles
  • Transportation Through Hotel Concierge:
  • Town Car: $55 one way
  • SUV: $70 one way
  • Limo: $115 one way +20% Service Charge (up to 8 passengers w/ luggage)
  • Van: $80 one way (15 passengers, 10 passengers w/ luggage)
  • Super Shuttle: $11 per person/one way
  • Taxi: Taxi service is available at the hotel. Rates may vary.
  • Rental Car: Enterprise Rent-A-Car offers discounted rates for hotel guests. Reserve your car online for this deal.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

  • Distance: 35 miles
  • Transportation through Hotel Concierge:
  • Town Car: $115 one way
  • SUV: $135 one way
  • Limo: $165 one way + 20% service charge (up to 8 passengers). Additional charge of $20 for international pickups.
  • Van: $145 one way (15 passengers, 10 passengers w/ luggage)

Long Beach Airport (LGB)

Is there somewhere I can print my boarding passes at the hotel?

The hotel has a 24-hour Computer Center where boarding passes can be printed.

Exhibit Show

What day is the Exhibit Show?

The Exhibit Show will take place on Monday, February 12, from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Lunch is included.

Where is it being held?

The Exhibit Show is being held in Ballroom A.

Who will be exhibiting?

A list of exhibitors will be posted on the NACM conference website under the Exhibit/Sponsor Info tab.

Why is there an exhibit show?

Exhibitors play a valuable role in NACM conferences. In addition to bringing attendees new and innovative products, the exhibitor fees help to offset conference registration, food and hotel costs.

Social Events

Can I bring a guest to the Opening Reception on Sunday night?

Yes, but you must provide a name and pay for them to attend.

What meals are provided?

There is a Welcome Reception on Sunday at which food will be provided. The Exhibit Show on Monday includes lunch. There is also lunch on Tuesday. You will be on your own for dinner on Monday.

Are there places nearby to eat? What about shopping?

There are several places to eat within walking distance that serve lunch and dinner, and numerous shops. Maps are available at the hotel’s front desk that list nearby restaurants, shops and other activities.

Where is the closest drugstore?

There is a Walgreens that is a 2-minute walk away that includes a pharmacy.

General Questions

What is the dress code?

The dress code is business casual. Meeting room temperatures may vary, so it is advisable to bring a sweater or jacket.

Is there WiFi in the hotel?

Free WiFi will be available in the conference area as well as the guest rooms and social spaces.

How do I obtain CLE/CEU credits?

A form to receive credit will be available soon.

What time does the conference end?

The conference will end after a closing plenary at 4:00 p.m.

What is the average temperature in Arlington in February?

The average February temperatures in Orange County are highs in the upper 60s/lower 70s and low in the lower 50s/upper 40s. There may be rain, so you may want to consider that when packing.
