Peter Kiefer has worked for the Maricopa Superior Court since 2001, first as the criminal court administrator, then as regional administrator, and now as civil court administrator. Before that he was manager of the Trial Court Programs Division for the California Administrative Office of the Courts and director of Trial Court Programs Division for the Oregon State Court Administrator’s Office, where he worked for almost 15 years. Mr. Kiefer has worked on overseas rule-of-law assignments in Liberia and Beirut; visited the People’s Republic of China as a court administrator representative; and co-edited the Court Manager ethics column for many years. He has also conducted over a dozen ethics presentations around the country and overseas. He received his bachelor’s degree from Santa Clara University and his Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California.
