Judge Gregory V. Sapp

JUDGE GREGORY V. SAPP is a native of Savannah and an associate judge in Chatham County, Eastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in history and political science and a law degree from the University of Georgia. After law school, Judge Sapp practiced law in Savannah for 25 years. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association, Savannah Bar Association (president 2011-12), and numerous civic organizations, as well as a Fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia. Before going on the bench, Judge Sapp served two terms on the Savannah Chatham County Board of Public Education. Judge Sapp served as vice-president of the board and as chairman of the Capital Improvement Committee, which was charged with direct oversight of the school system’s $300 million construction program.
