TIM OSTBY has served in Minnesota’s judicial branch for over 31 years in various court administration positions. His first job was the clerk of courts position in his home county—currently, the least populous county in Minnesota. For the past ten years, he has served as the judicial district administrator for the Seventh and Eighth Judicial Districts, which encompass 23 counties in west central Minnesota. This is the only consolidated judicial district administrator position in the state. He has served on various local and state court committees, work groups, and task forces and is a past member of Minnesota’s Judicial Council. Mr. Ostby was a presenter at the National Center for State Courts’ 4th Symposium on Court Management in 2010. He and his wife have one daughter who graduated from college this spring. In his spare time, he enjoys performing with a variety of musical and theatrical organizations.
