RAÚL A. PILLING-PIEFKOHL joined the Los Angeles Superior Court in January 2015 as the administrator for interpreter services. Before his current assignment, Mr. Pilling-Piefkohl served as the court operations manager for interpreter and court reporter services, appeals, and exhibits at the Sonoma Superior Court for six years and as the manager for court interpretation and translation services at the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County for eight years. In addition to his court work experience, he has worked in federal government and academia on areas related to proficiency-based language training and testing. Mr. Pilling-Piefkohl holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Master of Arts degrees in Spanish and in romance languages and linguistics.
