PAUL L. SHERFEY began his career with Battelle-Northwest, a research and development corporation, ultimately serving as manager for operations and administration for the Battelle-Northwest contract department and as in-house legal counsel on employment issues. Mr. Sherfey served as the director of the King County Department of Judicial Administration and county clerk and currently serves as the chief administrative officer for the King County Superior Court. He serves on the Board of Directors for the National Conference of Metropolitan Courts, an educational and research organization established by United States Supreme Justice Tom Clark. Mr. Sherfey is past state president of the Washington State Association of Court Administrators and a member of the Washington State Bar Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gonzaga University, summa cum laude, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Washington.
