Natalie Knowlton has been with Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) since 2006. She joined the staff full time in 2008, working first as a research analyst across initiatives and then as manager of the Quality Judges Initiative. She is currently director of the Honoring Families Initiative, where she provides legal and empirical research and analysis, facilitates collaboration among stakeholders, and undertakes national outreach and advocacy to enable continuous improvement in practices and procedures for divorce and child custody matters. She serves on the Josef Korbel School of International Studies Alumni Board and is a member of the Colorado Judicial Institute, Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. She earned her B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder (2002), where she graduated summa cum laude. Her concentration was Western Europe, and she studied abroad in Belgium at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Ms. Knowlton received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (2008) and her M.A. in International Studies from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies (2008).
