HON. LEE SINCLAIR is a retired status judge in the Stark County Common Pleas Court, General Division, in Canton, Ohio, which he served as administrative judge and presiding judge. He was the author of An Introduction to Court Security, which is used throughout the United States; developed the first security course for judges on behalf of the National Judicial College; has presented court security courses nationwide for over 15 years; and was chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Ohio Judicial College. He is a member of the faculty counsel of the National Judicial College and the faculty of the Ohio Judicial College. He has been a consultant for many national media outlets on judicial topics and court security, including CNN, NBC, CBS, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Playboy Magazine. Judge Sinclair sits on the editorial board of the four-volume treatise, Ohio Jury Instructions; is the lead author of the two-volume treatise, Handling Capital Cases; and is a contributing author to the leading text on capital punishment, Presiding Over a Capital Case. He serves on the Supreme Court of Ohio Security Committee and as chair of the Stark County Security Committee. Judge Sinclair earned his doctoral degree from the University of Akron, School of Law, where he was a member of the editorial board of the Akron Law Review and was named Outstanding Law Student.
