Edwin T. Bell

EDWIN T. BELL currently serves as the deputy court administrator for the Superior Court of DeKalb County in Decatur, Georgia. He has been actively working in the justice system at both the state and local level for over 17 years. Mr. Bell previously served as the state point of contact in Georgia to the National Association of Drug Court Professionals/National Drug Court Institute for all things related to drug and DUI/DWI courts. He serves as a subject-matter expert and a federal-grants peer reviewer for OJP, BJA, and OJJDP. As a former staffer of the Georgia AOC, he was responsible for overseeing state funds for accountability court grants and programs, as well as the training and technical assistance efforts statewide, including the wildly popular annual Georgia accountability courts conference. He is a member of numerous professional, fraternal, and civic organizations and volunteers his free time to mentoring at-risk young men. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Clayton State University.
