David C. Steelman

DAVID C. STEELMAN is the managing director of Global Justice Management Consulting, LLC. He is a retired lawyer and a former vice president of the National Center for State Courts. His publications include Model Time Standards for State Trial Courts (reporter, with Richard Van Duizend and Lee Suskin; National Center for State Courts, 2011); Caseflow Management: The Heart of Court Management in the New Millennium (lead author, with John Goerdt and James McMillan; National Center for State Courts, 2000, 2004); and Court Business Process Enhancement Guide (Search, Inc., and National Center for State Courts, 2003). In 2009 the University of New Hampshire gave Mr. Steelman and his wife, Virginia, the Hubbard Family Award for Service to Philanthropy. In 2004 Mr. Steelman was a visiting scholar at the Research Institute on Judicial Systems at the University of Bologna in Italy. From 1979-1986, he was an adjunct professor in the Boston College Evening Division. He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal in 1971 for his service as a U.S. Army officer in the Republic of Vietnam. He was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa in 1967.
