Michael Sommermeyer serves as the Court Public Information Officer for Nevada’s Appellate Courts and the Administrative Office of the Courts. In this position, Sommermeyer is responsible for publicizing court programs, community outreach, and media relations. Sommermeyer has authored a management plan for high profile and notorious trials, which was recognized with a National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Award. Sommermeyer worked as a consumer/legal affairs reporter, news director, anchor and producer for television and radio media in California, Utah, Idaho and Texas. Mr. Sommermeyer joined the National Judicial College faculty in 2009.
