Kate Fogarty

Kate Fogarty is the District Administrator for the Fourth Judicial District serving Hennepin County in Minneapolis, Minnesota and its 45 surrounding communities. Kate’s responsibilities include directing full range support of district court operations to the bench and representing the district county-, state- and nation-wide.  Kate’s previous court experience, since 2000, encompassed serving as the education and organizational development manager, hearing and fines management office manager, human resources manager, senior manager for the criminal division, and as deputy district administrator. As deputy court administrator, she was responsible for the operations in the Civil, Criminal, Family, Juvenile, Mental Health, and Probate court divisions.  Kate is a University of Nevada graduate and Institute for Court Management Certified Court Manager. She was the 2015 recipient of the NACM Early Career Excellence Award. She also received the National Association of Counties Achievement Award, Minnesota Association of Court Management Excellence in Savings Award and Innovation Award. Kate was the Fourth Judicial District Court Employee of the Year and received the Hennepin County Champion of Change and Innovation Star Award.
