Jamie Walter is the director of court operations with the Maryland Judiciary’s Administrative Office of the Courts. She previously worked for Maryland’s District Court as executive director of operations. Dr. Walter oversees the measurement and implementation of best practices in the courts and managed evaluations of a variety of court practices, including the Glen Burnie District Court Self-Help Center, mental health courts, and teen courts, as well as the Statewide Cost-Benefit/Effectiveness Analysis of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Before joining the courts, she was a college professor and human services director at Albion College. Dr. Walter received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Maine. She is a Certified Faculty and Certified Court Executive from the National Center for State Courts’ Institute for Court Management.
