Cheryl Stone

Cheryl is the Court Administrator for the City of Eugene Municipal Court. She has been with the Eugene Municipal Court since January 2013. Prior to working for the City of Eugene, she worked for the City of Salem as Court Administrator and Oregon Judicial Department in the Financial Services Department, Court Programs and Services, and as Interim Court Administrator at the Benton County Circuit Court.  Cheryl has performed extensive work in the areas of court revenue, jury services, performance measures, and caseflow improvements.

Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. She is also a graduate from the National Center for State Court’s, Institute for Court Management (ICM) Court Manager, Court Executive, and Fellows Program. As a participant in the ICM Fellows Program Cheryl published a research paper entitled, “Access to Justice for Displaced Defendants”. This paper analyzes issues surrounding quality of life offenses and proposes a variety of solutions combining concepts of community court and best practices in managing caseflow.

Prior to Cheryl’s time in government working with courts, she worked for more than 15 years in the private sector as a manager in finance for hi-tech, logistics, and manufacturing industries.
