Beth Riggert

Beth Riggert as the Supreme Court of Missouri’s communications counsel since 2001, Beth’s responsibilities include media relations, civic education and website management. An attorney with more than two decades of communications experience, Beth taught college journalism, law and public relations for more than five years. She now teaches media relations, social media and crisis communications for judges and court personnel and has spoken to state and national audiences about media relations and strategic communications. She also is a trustee of the Supreme Court of Missouri Historical Society. Beth earned her law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her bachelor’s degree in mass communications-public relations, with honors, from Stephens College. Before joining the Court, she worked eight years for the Missouri attorney general. Beth is serving a two-year term as president of the Conference of Court Public Information Officers and is involved in a national project to update “Managing Notorious Trials” for the 21st century.
